Adobe Illustrator Art Board tool: I think Adobe Illustrator is very straight forward and a useful tool. The basics appear to look easy, but it could be complex if you want it to be. The format looks similar to Microsoft Word which is helpful when navigating the software. Adobe Illustrator would be great for logo design, projects, and more. The art board tool is a very helpful tool as it allows someone to zoom in and out to see different perspectives of their work. The tool helps keep track of different pieces of work one may have. In the video tutorial, the art board is the “page setup” and replicates a piece of paper for the artist to begin working. As the video tutorial went on the basic took starts to become more complex. Adobe Illustrator uses a term called the “eye dropper” which allows you to copy your artwork and duplicate it. This would be very helpful for this class because it is a quick way to transfer ones work or build off their artwork. All of the tools are present while someone is working on their project which would be helpful to see options.

The Illustrator Pen Tool: is a simple tool that would be helpful during the process of coloring shapes or designs. The tool can be used to pick outline shapes with different colors while having the ability to adjust the thickness and color. Additionally, the pen tool can be used for making exact alignments. For example, using the tool to measure out exact shapes like the Bezier curve as it is shown in the tutorial. This tool is helpful for outlining complex shapes too. I think this tool would be very helpful because it will help define the work being shown. An interesting observation to this tool is that when using this tool, it is important to sketch out the design instead of free- styling because that will help with the composition of the shape.

 Custom Workspace tool:  https://www.creativebloq.com/digital-art/illustrator-tutorials-1232697

Adobe Illustrator helps for vector graphics which allows a design to adjust in size without loosing detail. The right tool bar is helpful to edit the properties of shapes and can be dragged around to customize one’s workspace. Having the ability to customize one’s workspace will be very helpful toward operating and time management as one is able to pick out the tool, they use more than others. The custom workspace tool is easily changeable and can be switched back to default settings. I never realized how helpful being able to customize different tools being used for a certain piece really was. Using the “window” button on Illustrator is a helpful source to adjusting different brush strokes, eraser tool, and more. I think this software is going to help students succeed and learn more about the different software’s technology has created.
